A graceful and lofty evergreen tree, developing a symmetrical pyramidal shape. Growing up to 8 mtrs, its willowy, pendulous branches carry narrow, lanceolate, shiny green leaves, which can reach up to 20 cm in length, with wavy margins. In spring trees are covered with wavy petals. These are followed by 2 cm oval black fruit, which attracts a wide range of wildlife.
